Search in Secret India is a book written by Paul Bruton about his visit to India and his experiences with various saints, magicians, monasteries etc.
This book would be of interest to people who are interested in the ancient history of India and also those who want to know how Chennai city was , before to independence.
He describes his meetings with Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswati Swamigal ( Head of Kanchi Mutt at that time), Sri Ramana Maharishi, Sri M ( Author of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa’s biography) and several other people.He also mentions about a few religious men in Chennai, whom I’m unable identify now.
He goes on to describe the Adayar and Coovum rivers, their beauty( No…not now!!), the natural environs and a host of details about India, Chennai in particular ( Ok! It was called Madras at that time.)
